The affiliated New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) thugs who invaded the premises of United Television (UTV) have been convicted and fined. Each convict was fined GH₵2400 by the Achimota magistrate court in the Greater Accra region for their action at the station.
The convict was charged with conspiracy to commit a crime and rioting.
They pleaded guilty and this led to their conviction.
On the 7th October, 2023 thugs invaded the UTV’s studios while they were broadcasting live entertainment program ”United ShowBiz”. During the introduction of the program by the host MzGee.
The thugs made threats and were looking for A Plus.
”Today we are doing the program with you” the alleged thugs told MzGee.
Meanwhile, A Plus later accused the Dept. communication director of the NPP that he is the prime suspect behind the guys who invaded the studios of the United Television.
