The albums ‘Timeless’ and ‘I Told Them’, respectively, by Nigerian music icons David Adeleke, well known as Davido, and Damini Ogulu, better known as Burna Boy, have been nominated for 2024 Grammy Awards.
Davido is attempting to secure a nomination for both the Best Global Music Album and Album of the Year awards.
In addition, he entered ‘Feel’ for a different category and Unavailable for Song of the Year.
“City Boys” was submitted by Burna Boy, who already holds a Grammy, in the categories of Song of the Year, Record of the Year, African, and Performance. In addition, he sent in his record ‘I Told Them’ for review.
This occurs prior to the 2024 Grammy Awards nominations, which are set for November 10.
Remember that three new award categories were added by the Recording Academy for the 66th Annual Grammy Awards, which are scheduled for Sunday, February 4, 2024.
Best Pop Dance Recording, Best Alternative Jazz Album, and Best African Music Performance are the new categories.
