Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) went to the polls to elect executives. A veteran musician Bessa Simons earned the President of MUSIGA position against Ras Caleb. The veteran Highlife musician polled a massive support compared to his opponent.
The elections that took place in various regions in Ghana were monitored by the Electoral Commission (EC).
Bessa was the acting President after the resignation of Bice Osei Kuffour known in the showbiz as Obour. After the presidential elections, Bessa polled 324 while Ras Caleb got 66 votes.
Bessa after the elections highlighted the importance of unity and collaboration within MUSIGA, emphasizing that “together, we can achieve great strides in the music industry.”
