Ghanaian popular reggae artiste, Ras Caleb defeated by the former acting MUSIGA president Bessa Simons angry with delegates over corruption.
Ras Caleb accuses delegates of taking his money without voting for him to become the MUSIGA president.
According to Ras Caleb, he toured all various centers of the MUSIGA offices and gave them some amount to vote for him but the delegates failed to honor their promises.
He emphatically acclaimed that the members of the Union assured him of voting him as the next MUSIGA president. “The members who took money from me and didn’t vote for me should continue to wallow in poverty. I have a lot of things I am currently doing and I will prefer to continue doing them than to waste my time with this MUSIGA administration,” says Ras Caleb
Meanwhile other executives were elected to work with Bessa Simons, the newly elected President of MUSIGA. Rev Dr Yawson (1st Vice President), Abena Ruthy (2nd Vice President), S. K. Agyemang (General Secretary), Rev Eyison (National Treasurer), Rev Gifty Ghansah (National Welfare Officer) and Chizzy Wailer (National Organiser) are the executives to work with Bessa Simons.
