Ghana’s legendary twin gospel musicians ‘Tagoe Sisters’ celebrated their 40th anniversary in East Lagon in the Greater Accra region in Ghana. The celebration features the president of the Republic Of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Piesie Esther and other dignitaries.
The two have revealed that they were addicted to alcoholic beverages years ago. The alcohol was taking an impact on them and nearly got them to leave their music career; says Tagoe Sisters.
Also, they cautioned the youth and other musicians to stay away from drinking Alcohol. Tagoe Sisters preaches the act of being an alcoholic addict is against the Bible in Christianity. “We have [taken alcohol] in the past. We stopped because It makes you dehydrated, you understand? So it doesn’t help your system’ says the twin. “So it’s not good for you to take one and then at the end of the day when to sing hallelujah, hallelujah somebody God bring another thing. And could lead you to forget about it [song], you are singing the first stanza and you go to the second stanza,”- Tagoe Sisters acclaimed.
The Tagoe sisters were one of the biggest gospel musicians in Ghana that contributed a good impact in the music scene then. The two had multiple awards in their and also saved many life’s.
